Open Call for a Lutheran Pastor

• You will receive a yearly pay of $XX,XXX.XX with opportunities for raises as you help grow our church membership. 
• You will receive insurance to cover (medical, dental, vision?). 
• You will receive your paychecks on the 15th and 30th of every month (unless it is agreed upon otherwise). 

You will be expected to work 40 hours a week. This will include Sunday, seasonal midweek services, Confirmation classes, requested Counseling (marriage, family, etc.), and visitations.

You will receive XX vacation days a year to spend how you wish. 

This will be re-evaluated yearly, with an opportunity to have more time added the longer you stay with us. 

Mental and physical health is important. If you are not at your best, then you cannot do your best. If a problem arises that you cannot handle alone, we can discuss it and find a solution together. You are human and deserve to be treated as such. 

You are not expected to be available for phone calls and visitations 24/7. That being made clear, if there is an emergency and it is within reason for you to be there for spiritual guidance for a congregant (be it via phone or in person), you are expected to do that.

Not everyone can attend church (shut-ins), and unexpected tragedies happen in our lives (sickness or accidents). You will be expected to visit these individuals as needed, or for some on a regular basis, and provide communion should they request it. 

You will be expected to perform: 

• Weekly Worship Services
• Weekly Sunday School Classes
• Confirmation Classes during the school year
• Baptisms
• Confirmations
• Funerals
• Marriages
• Counseling (for those who request it, for marriages, family, etc)
• Seasonal Midweek Services (Lenten, Advent, and other holidays on the church calendar)
• Open Office Hours (set times each each week dedicated and open for visitors or congregants to speak with you)

You will be expected to find ways to interact with our community and spread the name of our church. Show the world what it means to be a Lutheran and Christian of good faith.
