St. Peter Lutheran Church
We believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We are a member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. We adhere to the Unaltered Augsburg Confession (UAC). Please follow the link for a more in-depth look at our beliefs and what our church body believes.

The heritage of the Lutheran Church is reflected in our beautiful and symbolic liturgy. Most people are touched by the warm familiarity of this traditional liturgy. Others recognize the beauty and passion with which this liturgy was originally developed to the glory of God. Whatever the case, beneath our traditional facade, one can see that the Word of God is fresh, vibrant, and alive at St. Peter.
Finally, the liturgy frames and sets our theology of God coming to us in Christ Jesus who is revealed in His preached Word and in His Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which are visible means of His Word. What comfort and peace is to be derived in God coming to us and serving us with His forgiveness to be received by us through faith.

Our understanding of what God's Word teaches about the Lord's Supper compels us to believe that this meal is not just a 'communion' between God and the penitent sinner. While we appreciate that many have come to worship in a unity of faith, when we gather for the Lord's Supper, we also believe it necessary to be in a unity of confession at the Lord's Table.
Scripture tells us that divisions between believers should be resolved before they come together at the Lord's Table. This includes difference in beliefs between fellow Christians as expressed by their membership in different denominations. Therefore, out of respect for the teachings of this church where we gather as a family that is fully united in faith and confession, we ask that those who are not a member of a congregation of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, speak with the Pastor before communing.
All are welcome to come forward to receive a blessing. Please indicate such by holding your hand over your heart as the Pastor and Elder distribute the Sacrament.
