Our Staff

Born in Washington, DC, and raised in the metropolitan area, after his high school graduation, Pastor De Young attended Concordia Lutheran College in Austin, TX and then Sam Houston State University. After graduation, he worked many entry level jobs for a few years, followed by a six-year enlistment in the US Navy. After his Navy enlistment ended, he went to work in the computer industry for 19 years.

Pastor De Young attended Concordia Theological Seminary from 2018 — 2022 and was placed as the pastor to St. Peter Lutheran Church in Bowie, TX. The installation took place on the third of July in 2022.

Mary was born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas. She got her Associate of Arts degree from Weatherford Community College and then graduated from Texas Woman's University in 2024 with a Bachelor's in Graphic Design, a minor in Marketing, and a minor in Photography.

Currently, she works part-time as the sole Graphic Designer and Secretary here, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, and as a Freelance Designer.
